A Extremely Rare Antique Italian/Brescian Miquelet Flintlock Pistol by LAZARI COMINAZ, circa. 1680 - 1730. Â 14", .60 cal. steel barrel marker signed on the top flat of breech 'LAZARI COMINAZ'. Â Worked and engraved steel furniture including a belt hook. Â The pistol is in its original Miquelet flintlock configuration with a very unique form noting the transitional point at the bottom of the lock plate which is a carryover from the earlier wheel lock. Â The stock is of wonderful form and solid with some minor stress cracks, light scratches and dings from years of handling. Â 21.5" overall length. Â We may never see another one of these rare pistols again especially in this condition !
Note; The barrel may have been from an earlier Wheel Lock pistol and re-used.
