Partially printed and Manuscript Documents, from the Newburyport Bank, acknowledging payment to ā€œR.L.E. Kimball,ā€ for ā€œMaking part of Said Turnpikeā€. Kimball signs one of the receipts, and Walter Waldo signs another. Apparently the firm of ā€œPrince & Youngā€ handled some of the payments on behalf of the Newburyport Turnpike Corporation. Ranging in size from 2.5ā€ x 3.25ā€ to 3ā€ x 7ā€, the fine-laid documents--for $500 and $300--are in very fine condition. The engraved Newburyport Bank pay order is affixed to the receipt signed by Kimball, but the Waldo receipt is separate. (3 items).
